Cass county

Historical Overview

Cass county was established in 1828 and named for General Lewis Cass, a U.S. commissioner noted for completing treaties with the Native Americans. Logansport is the county seat and was settled in 1826. As of the 2020 census Cass county has a population of 37,870.
